Angelfish Express Hatchery Technician Job Description

 

Part time with some flexibility.

Located off Route 2 and Lost Nation in Willoughby Hours between 8am and 7pm. Tuesday 8am to Noon and Wednesday Noon to 3pm are required.

Our wish is this part time position candidate would earn and learn their way to a sales/management position. This position could be full time with possible sales commission and internet sales responsibilities.

The hatchery technician is first and foremost responsible for the appropriate care and feeding, packing and shipping of the angel fish. This includes but is not limited to cleanliness, maintenance and stock replenishment of the hatchery. Specifically you will be feeding and doing water changes. These duties are performed in an 80 degree room, so candidate should be comfortable with the heat. This is an independent working environment and you will need to record daily duties performed to facilitate effective communication with other team members.

If you desire to earn more money per hour then you will strive to learn more, to be a more valuable team member. You will do this by taking more responsibility and learning to process fish for sales. This includes sorting (into varieties and sizes), culling, picking orders, and learning to prepare weekly availability sheet.

Independent projects are available for the candidate interested in cultivating additional freshwater species. This job provides the joy of ownership without the investment. The motivated team member could become a part owner with cash investment or sweat equity.

This is a position of responsibility. The health and well being of almost a ½ million angelfish are on your shoulders. If you are missing your scheduled time for any reason you must find a way to get fish food made and fish fed. No call, no show is cause for immediate termination.
